Tilta has announced a range of new Nucleus-M II accessories. These include the Range Expansion Module for Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit, Nucleus-M II Extended Mod Motor Gear, Mounting Bracket for Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit, and the Extended Hand Wheel for Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit.
The Range Expansion Module for the Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit is designed to push the boundaries of wireless lens control. When paired with the Module, the base signal range extends to 1900 feet and has the capability to reach up to 4900 feet in open environments.
This module delivers a greater range and better control over your lens system with fewer interruptions, allowing for use in more challenging environments.
Dual-direction USB-C power ensures stress-free power for the whole day. The inclusion of an NP-F550 battery slot adds extra power to the FIZ hand unit. While a dedicated USB-C port allows you to power a monitor directly, as well as charge the hand unit itself directly through the port. This eliminates the need for additional weight and hassle from clunky battery solutions.
Engineered for versatility, the top NATO rail with 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads allows for multi-directional accessory mounting. Allowing you to freely build your focus rig to your own design and comfort.
The refined ergonomic handle integrates with the FIZ unit, becoming a robust, fully-featured device. It is claimed to deliver a natural, secure grip that remains comfortable.
The Nucleus-M II Extended Mod Motor Gear is designed to unlock a wider range of lens choices for your storytelling. The design of certain cinema lenses can sometimes create physical interference between the lens and the motor gears.
The Extended Mod Motor Gear is specifically engineered to address this challenge, solving the clearance issues that arise with lenses that have a short gear ring clearance. With a wider diameter, the Extended Mod Motor Gear allows the M II Motor to reach farther, eliminating physical limitations from lenses’ unique designs.
By allowing the Nucleus-M II Motor to attach to a wider variety of cinema lenses, it eliminates incompatibility issues that would otherwise restrict your creative options.
The Mounting Bracket for the Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit is designed to expand the mounting possibilities of your Nucleus. Gone are the issues of awkward mounting options for mounting the FIZ, mounting monitors, and extra handles and equipment for a wider range of use.
The dedicated cage design wraps securely around the Hand Unit, providing a stable and reliable foundation for building out your Hand Unit. Multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting threads offer a broad range of rigging options, ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of accessories and mounting options.
The Bracket also provides extra protection to the FIZ, with a strong aluminum alloy build that helps to protect from the wear and tear of ever-changing set environments.
A top NATO rail further expands your options, providing a secure interface for monitor mounts, articulating arms, and other small accessories for whatever your need might be on set.
The Extended Hand Wheel for the Nucleus-M II FIZ Hand Unit is designed to give you greater control when pulling focus. The larger diameter of the Extended Hand Wheel provides a more comfortable and secure grip, allowing for more precise and deliberate adjustments during operation.
The grip upgrades the Nucleus-M II Hand Unit, with the size also comes higher visibility for the markings on the focus rings, allowing for a clearer view of where your focus markings are.
